Hello from Angamos! Week 2 of 24. ;)
I have a few points of business before I forget.
1. Can somebody ask Braden Hancock and David Sifuentes if they knew and
Elder Steven Godoy from Antofagasta, Chile? He served in Salt Lake City
South about 3 years ago and I´m pretty sure those were the people I knew who
served there. He lives in Santiago now but his family is in my ward.
2. Mom, a Brazilian lady in my ward made me swear basically that I would
get a good muffin recipe today. Also brownies. She doesn´t really
care what kind of muffins, but she really really really wants it.
We saw a lot of miracles this week. We found a few investigators from
a long time ago and they are great. There´s one lady in particular,
Mayleen, that is AWESOME and already has a testimony and everything but is
convive. Things are not going well with her boyfriend but she´s trying to
save the marriage because of their daughter together. We met her boyfriend
and he is suuuuper lame and in all sorts of trouble, so we´re not exactly sure
what we should be doing about the whole thing. The key is to have faith
and trust that the Lord will do everything perfectly.
We have an investigator from before who has been to church a couple times
but has not received an answer and does not see a reason to be baptized.
We had a kneeling prayer with him and he said the prayer and asked the
quetion and then we waited there for FIFTEEN MINUTES. The spirit was so
strong it was almost physical. Well, it actually was physical for me.
I could feel a burning so strong within me and if I ever had a
doubt before, it was answered in those minutes. Nuñez and I exchanged a
bunch of looks becaue there was NO WAY he couldn´t feel anything. However,
after all of that time, he looked up and said he didn´t feel anything. I
hate to end the story with that, and we´re still working with him and
everything. We think it´s because he is not fulfilling with the word of
wisdom. But it was an incredibñly spiritual experience for me.
The other day I was on an intercambio and the other hermana had Jesus the
Christ. Because 95% of what I study is on faith and how to use it, I was
reading the story of the woman with the issue of blood, and I learned a ton!
You should go read it. :)
¨Faith of itself is a principle of power; and by it´s fulness or
paucity, even the Lord was and is influenced and in great measure controlled in
the bestowal or witholding of blessings¨ Jesus the Christ p.

Let us all learn to exercize a little more faith!
We are pleading with the Lord for a baptism for my birthday. Prayers
would be appreciated!!! Collaborative faith peopl!
Love you all!
