This week I completed NINE MONTHS in the mission! I can´t
believe it! I can´t believe I have so much time left! Hahahaha.
I´m not trunky AT ALL but I had some freak out times a while ago because I
realized they had cut my time down in the mission and I was supposed to go home
before I hit 17 months and so I started feeling like I had NO time left in the
mission and I was freaking out. And they cut 2 months out because of the MTC
(this is outrageous to me now. I cannot believe I was there for 2
months when I could have been out here baptizign!!!) But a good reminder
today that I still have time in the mission. :) Still, time has
flied. We´re halfway through the transfer and I feel like we just barely
started,
We saw some miracles this week! We found a woman through Antiguo
Investigators who had a son that was interested in the gospel. Her record
said that she was not interested at all and didn´t support her son, but we went
anyway. When we found her, she told us to come back another day, and
although we tried her several times, she always seemed to be gone. We were
about ready to give up on her, but I really felt good about it, so we went one
more time on Friday. She was SUPER receptive and said herself without us
saying anything that she was going to go with her two youngest kids. And
then she did! It was amazing, and a total miracle. It was a pretty
weird day at church since it was ward conference, so please pray that they will
continue to be receptive. Fabiola is the mom and her kids are Stefen,
Felipe, and Constanza.
I went to the dentist! It was awesome. There is a dentist in
the ward, so he let us come in one day and he did a cleaning. Woohoo!
I cannot believe they let us go such a long time without going to the
dentist. Probably because the church wouldn´t be able to afford all the
cavities. Haha.
All the gringos got kicked out of Argentina????? I just BARELY found
out about this. Let me know if you know anything about it!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to JONATHAN! And Andrew! And happy anniversary
to Cal and Andrew! Feel free to wish me happy birthday this week.
;)
My first convert completed 6 months as a member this week. And he is
still active! I was so proud. It was a pretty big day for me as a
missionary. I am still hoping he goes on a mission but apparently the
bishop told him to get married. Nice.
Anyway, things are going really well with my companion and I. She
completes one year this week! We had some disaster experiences with the
ward, but we continue seeing miracles! I love you all! I was reading
in Helaman this week and it was such a good read. I couldn´t stop reading.
Course it´s super depressing because in Alma there are so many examples of
faith in the Lord and how they overcame their tribulations because of it and
then you get to Helaman and it´s the opposite. ¨The Lord could not help
them anymore because of their unbelief.¨ Or something like that- I read my
scriptures in Spanish. Hay que recordar!!!
I love you all! The next time you hear from me I will be
TWENTY-TWO!
Catron
P.S. One funny thing about CHileans is that 3 months or so after their
birthday they always say ¨I´m 7 going to complete 8.¨ It always messes me up.
¨Really!! When!!?¨ ¨In Junio!¨ Riiiight.
