Hi family! This week was pretty awesome. We found a lot of new investigators that have shared with missionaries before and have a new desire to learn about the gospel. One is a woman who we found a few months ago on a saturday night at the park and we invited her to church the next day. She went and absolutely loved it, but that week found work and we were never able to meet with her and she wasn´t able to go to church on sundays because of that work. This week with the help of our district leader, we were able to find her again and it appears that now she is much more prepared to accept the gospel message. She went to church yesterday with her two small sons and has accepted a baptisimal date for the 17th of May. Another was a family that went to church a few times last year. We found them a few months ago but they went on a month long vacation and we lost contact with them. A few weeks ago I felt the need to see them again and when we finally found them (which in itself was a miracle because they are both police and work crazy hours) it was clear that they were passing through some big problems in their family. The husband met with us and a member one day and it was clear that the family was on the verge of splitting apart. We talked about the doctrine of Christ and he told us that he already knew that the Book of Mormon was true, so we invited him to prepare for a baptisimal date and he also accepted. We are hoping that he can recognize that he needs the gospel in his life and in the life of his family and that through his example, his wife and children can join him. So please, please pray for Roberto and Carolina. We had a movie night that was a success on Friday night. We showed the movie ¨Ephraim´s Rescue¨ and I really enjoyed it, although it´s possible that the investigators were totally confused. We bought some snacks and gave people two tickets when they walked in that they could use to ¨buy¨ snacks. It ended up being a lot of fun. Unfortunately, someone forgot the kids movie so they ended up watching The Testmanents for 5 minutes and spent the rest of the time screaming in the hallways. Oh well. :)Sunday was great because Jacquelin walked in with 5 little kids trailing her. She is seriously such a great missionary. Two were her own kids, one was the daughter of her boss, and the other two are the children of a woman who rents a room in Jacqui´s old house. Those kids do not live in a good situation and Jacqui told me after church that while she was sitting there with all those kids, she felt a feeling super strong that those two children would someday be missionaries for the church. The feeling was so strong that she couldn´t help but cry, and when she told me that, she and I both felt the spirit really strongly again and she cried again. The mother of the kids is in a really terrible situation with her husband, who is in jail but controls every aspect of their lives. Those two and their mother went to the movie night but the husband called and refused to let them stay becuase he is controlled by his jealousy. We are praying a lot with Jacqui to find a way to allow those children to have the opportunity to get to know a world very very different from that which they are living right now. They loved the church. I trust the feeling that Jacqui had and I know that someday, somehow, those children will be missionaries. I love this work. I hope that when you read this story, even though I do not write very well, you can feel the spirit that I feel right now writing it. I admire Jacqui for looking past this almost impossible situation and doing everything in her power to make the difference in the lives of those who don´t have what we have. God moves mountains. He wants you to have the chance to see Him do it. I love you all very much. Thank you for everything you do to build this incredible kingdom.
