Hey family!
Cristian is baptized!! It was such a great experience. He is so, so good
and so, so prepared. He is already bearing his testimony to everyone in the
church and his family. He can´t wait until we can teach his family. The ward
is great too. Sometimes there are so many baptisms that the wards and the
bishops kind of forget their responsibility to help the recent converts, but
they all love Cristian. He is going to be a great member of this church.
We had my first zone conference on Tuesday. It was really good and I
learned a lot, especially about the Holy Ghost.
On Thursday the newbies in Iquique went up to Arica to get ourselves legal.
We left at 12am and got there at 4am and had to sit outside the government
building for 5 hours and then get back on a bus and come back. So we lost a LOT
of working time this week, which was lame.
I really don´t have much to report this week. We worked really hard and
had a lot of disappointments and a lot of great things happen. The worst thing
that happens to a missionary is a fecha falling through and that happened to us
just minutes before Cristian´s baptism with another investigator that is
struggling a lot. But the work is true and so we are happy. Hermana VanMeter
and I have a LOT of fun and we found some great people this week that have been
looking for something more in their life. This gospel is so true. Read the
first lesson and get comfortable with it so when people ask what is different
about our church, you will know what to say. Invite people to church! The
church is where people feel the spirit and progress!
Love you!
Hermana Catron
P.S.
P.P.S Dar jugo (give juice)- this means to waste time. A common phrase
would be ¨giving juice at a member´s house.¨
