The lady in the picture is a woman named Daniza. Joglar and I were
knocking doors when we were together and found her. It was really
interesting because normally people use the tiniest excuses to say they are
busy, but when she opened the door, she told us to pass and had a towel on her
head- she was dyeing her hair. So we sat on her couch for a few minutes
while she finished up and the whole time we were thinking that she was probably
a member because most people don´t treat us like that. She wasn´t and we
knew right away that she was pure gold. Anyway, Joglar and I got split up
and Daniza lived in the other Hermana´s half of the sector, and she finally got
baptized on Sunday! She is like our mom in this sector. She even
calls us all her daughters and she is always feeding us and making us stuff.
I was really sad that she wasn´t in my half, but I am so glad that she got
baptized and that I still get to see her every once in a while. :)
The other picture is lame because the elder cut out Rindlishbacher´s head,
but we made a bet with these two Elders a few weeks ago and we won so they had
to buy us huge chocolate bars. Score!
I am trying to send a video of me singing with this old deaf abuelita.
We love visiting her, and recently I´ve really enjoyed singing with her
because it is so funny. She doesn´t remember the tunes at all but she
loves it.
We got a new ward mission leader and we are SO excited! He has a
giant van and is going to help us look for investigators every week. This
is the greatest help people can do for us so we are super stoked about it.
And he is excited to have more activities with recent converts and stuff
so that should be really good.
The zone ¨Vallenar¨ is at the end of our misison at the south and really
struggles with baptisms historically. All the sectors are branches and
there is one that has an Elder as the Branch President. This Elder has
been there forever and is leaving the mission in two weeks and we just saw on
the Top 10 of the week that he had SIX baptisms last week! I don´t even
know him but I was so excited I practically jumped up and down. Usually
that zone has about 6 baptisms every 2 months so it was awesome. June is a
month of MIRACLES! I can´t wait to see what´s going to go down in my
sector!!
Love you all!
