Hey family! This week was a really good one. I forgot to take a picture of our new and improved(?) building. They´ve been painting our apartment building all week and it looks like a giant candycane. Maybe you can even see it from google maps. :) But it´s been pretty weird because they put this giant ladder thing all around the apartment building so although we live on the second floor all week during our study and lunch there have been men directly outside of our window. AND the window broke again. The elders put in a new window like a week ago and we had the window open during lunch (it is so hot during the early afternoon hours) and the wind slamed it shut and the window shattered everywhere. Good thing my companion was in the bedroom because most of the glass went right where she normally sits. But she probs wouldnt have gotten hurt anyway so don´t worry. As for updates on our investigators, Jacquelin and Jessica are doing really well! And weirdly enough, they´re about to be totally connected in a way. Last week I mentioned that there were some problems in the house of Jessica and now she wants to kick out the people who are renting the room upstairs. We were listening to her and all the sudden she said, ^I want a single woman with her kids to live there.^ DOING! Golden. So everything is basically worked out that Jacquelin is going to live with Jessica. They are both completely trusting our opinions but hopefully we can get them to meet so it won´t be our fault if it doesn´t work out. That happened the day after President told us that Jaquelin would have to move out of her house. I knew that we would be able to find a place for her to live (it´s easy to rent a room for a single person, but almost impossible with kids) but I didn´t think it would be this easy. So hopefully everything works out. Jacquelin is doing really well but we´re starting to have a really interesting situation at church. Jacquelin and her kids go, her ex-partner Julio, Julio`s ex-wife Patricia, Julio and Patricia´s daughter together, and Patricia`s two daughters from another marriage (who are getting baptized on the 22nd). Then this week we added on Jacquelin´s other ex-partner who is the father of her two children here. And they are all going to church. It`s pretty crazy. As for Jessica, it has been one of the most interesting experiences of my mission, teaching her. Things went fine this week and she said she was going to go to church but ending up twisting her leg, which was legit. I have to share that when we first found her (or actually she found us), she was really evangelical and kind of rude. Basically the only reason we went back after the first time we taught her was because we were opening the sector and didn´t have any investigators and because we felt sorry for her daughter, Javiera. The first time we taught her, we taught the Plan of Salvation and she interrupted every five seconds saying ^well I dont believe that. My preacher says the Bible says...^ It was clear that she had never really even touched the Bible and just believed whatever her pastor said. I told the rest of the story a few weeks ago. But yesterday we went to her house after church and tried teaching the same thing again. She had no memory of it so this time I used as many Bible references as I possibly could, and when she would say something to the contrary, I would read her the Bible and she would get all quiet. I feel like she was taking it pretty well and then at the end she said something like ¨but in the Bible it says that God will sound a trumpet etc etc^ (stuff I had already showed her in the Bible) and I said to her ^Jessica! I KNOW the Bible. Not completely but I know what it teaches. And I know this plan is true. I KNOW the 3 Kingdoms of Glory is a true doctrine etc etc^ and we just testified like crazy and her countanence changed super abruptly and she put her hand on her face and chest and said ^I´m feeling something!!^ and started to cry. We had a really cool moment with her right there because she felt the spirit so, so strongly testifying to her that everything we had said was true. And because this story is getting long, I`ll just say that she is progressing but still is finding it really hard to change what she´s always believed, even though she knows what we teach is true. However, this morning at FOUR AM, she called us. I had Hermana Arenas talk because I wasn´t sure I would be able to understand, but I could still hear her because she was basically shouting in the phone ^I FEEL SO HAPPY!^ and told us that she had woken up with a completely joyful feeling and knew it was her answer that what we have taught her is true and that the church is true. It was pretty incredible. We´re tired today, but happy! Today we went to the Heart beach (Playa Corazones) with a family in the ward. It was really pretty but tiring. Pictures coming! A butt load. Sorry! :)LOVE,Hermana Catron
