Well, due to the pictures, I don´t have all that much to say. The pictures
said it all.
We had a sector attack in Caldera last week, so it was the first time I had
seen the beach in 4 months. It was really fun but FREEZING cold. We
had a ton of lessons and found a couple good people so that was fun.
I also did intercambios with Hermana Joglar, and it was way fun (hence all
the pictures). We both think that we´re leaving this transfer, but who
knows. We laugh all the time because on April 20th, I wrote
in my journal basically ¨We´re getting pretty tired of the sector. i get
scared every time I think about staying in this sector more than 2 cambios.
I know I shouldn´t think that way, but it´s hard because Joglar is also
sick of the sector and know she´s leaving.¨ And here we still are, two
transfers later still together!
Thursday we met the new president! He is way
cool, and his wife can speak spanish! A lot of people are worried because
they think he is changing the vision of the mission from ¨baptize, baptize,
baptize¨ to ¨quality baptisms, not quantity¨ and they don´t think that we will
improve in our number of baptisms, but I don´t believe it at all. We just
have to figure out HOW to work with the members and have THEM do the finding.
Friday was Joglar´s birthday so that was a lot of fun.
We decorated the apartment and made her a big baptism symbol that looked
like an Argentinian flag and she loved it.
I gave a talk at church on Sunday and I talked about how the gospel related to
a baby´s brain. I talked about ¨use it or lose it,¨ motor neurons, and the
period of sensibility. I am going to miss this ward- it´s probably the
best ward to end your mission in because the members are so great. I
taught Goyito (the little guy I sent pictures of last time) who Joseph Smith was
and now he gets it every time!
I got a ton out of all my scripture study this week and so that was
awesome. I have like a bajillion questions about Amulek though so if
anyone has any insights taht they want to send me, I will gladly accept them.
Love you all!
