First of all, and most important, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Kara and HAPPY FATHERS DAY
to Dad!
I hope they were great! I thought about you guys on your special
days. And Dad, I gave a talk on Sunday and I based it on the talk you gave several
years ago for Father´s Day! Thank you for everything you do for
me!!!
Goal count: 90 BAPTISMS! Only 60 left to go and TWO WEEKS!
Well family, yesterday were CAMBIOS. a DONDE la viste. Basically
nobody changed. Rindlishbacher, Joglar, Santos and I are all staying in
Chañarcillo, so that´s fun. We´re all really happy to stay and we all get
along great. Joglar and I were laughing today because I was reading back
in my journal on April 20th and it said ¨I get scared everytime I think
about staying in the sector for longer than 2 cambios. Don´t think like
that. It doesn´t help that Joglar is sick of the sector and knows she´s
going to leave...¨ And here we still are! Haha. Don´t worry-
it had just been a bad week with a LOT of walking. We´re all really happy
to still be here.
Mom, I got the package this week! Thank you for the feet things and
the starbursts and the shirt! I loved it. I´ll probably be asking
for more feet things eventually- I don´t know how missionaries do without them!
I also got your postcards- everyone in the office knows me as the girl who
always gets letters and postcards from around the world. ;)
I also got Kaity´s announcement. CRAZY! I´m so excited for you
Katiy!
On thursday morning we all woke up at 4 am to a
HUGE thunderstorm! It was totally nuts! There was a ton of lightning
in the sky, but no rain. It was one of the more interesting experiences
when it comes to storms. We all went outside and took videos and stuff but
then it rained a teensy bit so we went back inside and now we´ve all got colds.
Haha. Seriously though, it was rad.
When church started this week, there were only 7 people. It was
rough. By the end there were a ton more, but it was a pretty sad
start...
We were teaching a MA lady this week and I shared a scripture about
charity. I started validating her a little bit about how we could see that
she had a lot of love for her family, her neighbors, etc. While I was
saying it, she was nodding her head and then all the sudden, as I was about to
say something else that she loved a lot (her grandkids or something) she sat up
suddenly and WHACK. The cat went flying from the couch. We were laughing
so hard. So much for that charity.
We had cleaning checks and we passed! Woot.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who still reads these things. I know
they´re getting boring. I love love love the work. I´ve never been
more content in my whole life. It´s super hard but I wouldn´t want to be
anywhere else- even when we go several weeks without investigators at church.
Hope everything is well with you!
